Orbay Lilla – Fresh, groovy jazz, with silky vocals that puts the
soul back at peace

Melodic and atmospheric: the Orbay Lilla Quintet is one of the most exciting voices of Budapest's young jazz scene. Singer, pianist, composer and bandleader Lilla Orbay fuses the warm, melodic sound of the 1970s with modern arrangements and finely tuned improvisation. Celebrated internationally — including at the EuroJazz Festival in Mexico City and the Amersfoort World Jazz Festival — the quintet released its acclaimed debut EP "Paradise Ablaze" in 2023. A new album follows in late 2026: another step for a band carrying Hungarian jazz into the world with a timeless sound all its own.
